Analysis of Inspector Gadget

This is the link for the opening sequence of Inspector Gadget. The opening sequence has connection to the genre. Its really appealing to the children audience. The CGI is interesting and eye catching. It uses alot of colour.

Intial Film Ideas

- What will the genre be?
Childrens Film, adventure.

- What will the narrative be?
There will be a small boy and as the film is all made on animation there will be no actors, the small boy will be in the forest and he sees a tree with a huge lemon dangling from it. The lemon suddenly sprouts arms and legs and drops from the tree, the lemon persuades the boy to take a bite of him and they both start floating up to the sky. Stars, planets and flying lemons start zooming all around him, then he falls back down to earth landing on a huge fluffy bed, and realising it was all a dream.

- Who will your characters be?
It will all be animated.
- Find images of films that are similar to support your film.

Classification Systems

We haved decided to class our childrens film as a PG.

PG: Parental Guidence;
Suitable for over 8's, parents responsibilty to decide. May be some discrimination only for educational purposes. Drugs must carry an anti-drugs message.

Horror/Short/Not Intense
More adult themes.

We have chosen to class our film as a PG because it opens up a wider range of viewers for us so we can use and incorporate many different styles or genres
